Celestials of the Ando'Var star system

Introduction

The Celestials of the Ando'Var star system are ancient beings, each with a vital role in preserving the cosmic balance of Erul and the realms beyond. At the dawn of creation, Ua, the first and most powerful Vel, governed a vast universe that included Ando'Var. When Ando and Var attempted to harness the essence of Ua to fuel their own purposes, Ua cast the Ando'Var system out, banishing it from the greater Ua Universe and establishing it as a separate anomaly. Ando and Var then united to birth Eru and Rul, twin beings who embodied the conflicting forces of creation and decay. Driven by ambition, Eru and Rul sought to corrupt and surpass Ando and Var, but their plans were thwarted, and they became bound to the core of Erul, eternally entwined as the planet’s foundation.

In the aftermath of The Convergence—a cosmic collision known as Tha’rakos that birthed Erul—a second tier of celestials arose to restore balance: the Arava'thar. These four guardians, born from the essences of Eru and Rul and the will of Ando, sacrificed themselves in the event known as Tha'ravos to imprison Va’shural, a dark, sentient force of corruption that had emerged from the remnants of Tha’rakos. Their sacrifice established the Vashira, a spectral realm that confines Va'shural and the corrupted beings known as the Raku'thar.

Following Tha'ravos, the Taravalir took form as the third tier of celestials. Divided into six aspects—Ilara (Fire), Muna (Water), Tanar (Earth), Syla (Air), Elura (Aether - Virtues), and Vakra (Nether - Sins)—the Taravalir were charged with nurturing Erul’s world and guiding its mortal inhabitants. The Elura arose to honor the sacrifice of the Arava'thar by embodying virtues, while the Vakra manifested to represent mortal vices, challenging Erul’rans to confront and overcome inner darkness. Together, the Taravalir sustain Erul as a world of constant growth, resilience, and balance, echoing the primordial order established by Ua.
