Va’shural is a powerful force of corruption and decay within the Ando'Var star system, embodying the raw, unrestrained darkness that threatens to consume all life on Erul. Born from the aftermath of Tha’rakos—the cataclysmic collision of planets that created Erul—Va’shural emerged as an entity of sentient corruption, feeding off the essence of lost souls trapped in the aftermath. Unlike the other elements which bring balance and growth, Va’shural is a destructive, consuming force that spreads chaos, drawing beings toward despair, decay, and ruin. It is both a shadow and an infection, a manifestation of the darkest facets of existence that distorts the natural order, tempting those it touches with visions of power and possession.

Va’shural’s influence is pervasive, casting its shadow across Erul as it seeps into the minds and hearts of those susceptible to corruption. Its followers, the Ur’vash and Eth’vash, are creatures twisted by its darkness, embodying traits like cruelty, deceit, and envy, furthering Va’shural’s reach across Erul. The essence of Va’shural was ultimately contained within a realm called the Vashira, created after the sacrifice of the Arava'thar, who gave their lives to confine this powerful corruption. Even so, Va’shural continues to wield influence, lurking in the shadows of Erul and testing the resolve of its inhabitants. The existence of Va’shural serves as a reminder of the ever-present threat of darkness, teaching that resilience and vigilance are necessary to preserve balance against forces that seek to undermine it.
