Taravanir
The Taravanir are powerful, secondary guardians created on Erul after the sacrifice of the Arava'thar, Erul’s first celestial protectors. The Taravanir emerged from each Ra'taral—sacred forests infused with mystical energies—and were formed by the will of Var and the spirit essence of Eru and Rul. Each Taravanir embodies specific aspects of the natural and spiritual world, dedicated to transforming Erul from a barren, hostile landscape into a habitable world and guarding it against corruption.
Divided among six elemental essences—Ilara (Fire), Muna (Water), Tanar (Earth), Syla (Air), Elura (Aether), and Vakra (Nether)—the Taravanir uphold balance by fostering life, stability, and the virtues essential to Erul’s flourishing. The Taravanir aligned with the Aether represent virtues like humility and hope, while those tied to the Nether embody the counteracting sins, such as wrath and deceit, forming a dual system that balances both light and darkness within the world.
The Taravanir’s primary duties include:
Cultivating Life and Vitality: Shaping Erul’s landscapes, creating ecosystems, and nurturing life to ensure Erul’s survival.
Establishing Order and Stability: Maintaining the elemental and spiritual balance of Erul’s complex environments.
Guiding Virtues and Defending Against Corruption: Each Taravanir of Aether embodies a virtue that strengthens Erul’s inhabitants, while those of Nether embody sins that challenge them, representing the eternal cycle of balance.
Protecting Against External Threats: The Taravanir also guard Erul against lingering corruption from Va'shural and the Ru’suru, dedicating their existence to the continued purification and protection of their world.
